Clobi Cup World Masters 2011
The Clobi Cup World Masters - The Cricket Legends of Barbados International (CLOBI) Cup is open to retired international cricketers (over 35 years). This tournament brings together some of the worlds greatest cricket legends in a fun tournament that will give you the opportunity to relive the memories of these greats.
It is an exciting week-long dose of Twenty/20 cricket under the lights at Kensington Oval in Barbados.
This fantastic, colourful tournament will be held for the 3rd time at Kensington Oval from the 11th -20th of November 2011. The tournament attracts former International stars from all over the World for an intense week of cricket.
Teams for 2011 are expected to include:West Indies, England, Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and India.
2009 saw England crowned champions and the 2010 tournament was won by Sri Lanka, England were unable to defend their title despite the likes of Gladstone Small who led the England team which included, Hick, Thorpe, Fairbrother, Malcolm, Headley and Cork.
India’s valiant effort was supported by fast-bowler Venkatesh Prasad, who claimed 96 wickets in 33 Tests and a formidable bowling attack while left-hander Satagoppan Ramesh, who turned 35 just before the tournament fronted the batting.
